We had a great day on our field trip to the national art gallery. We saw many great works of art and made our own clay low relief.
Mr. Rogers has been named one of Canada's outstanding principals. See link for the good news article. http://ocsb.ca/keep-connected/connect/good-news-blog/1199-jim-rogers-named-one-of-canada-s-outstanding-principalsIt has been a very cold week so the children have been inside for their recesses. They used their imaginations to have fun with our classroom resources. Thank you parents and family members for coming to watch our advent celebration. We worked so hard to impress you with our songs, readings and drama. We had a lot of fun performing for you! Merry Christmas. Today we found a bag on our door. It had cards and candy canes in it for every child in the class. The cards were signed by Santa's elves. We are learning about concrete graphs (graphs that use real things). We made a concrete graph of what we drink at school. We added a title to our graph to tell other people what the graph is about and labels. We also analyzed the data. Then we analyzed the data. We found out that water and juice were the two drinks that had the greatest number (6). Tea and flavored water was the least (1). 3 people brought a yogourt drink. Today we learned a First Nations call and response song and dance. We used rattles during our dance. It was very fun! In religion, we have been talking about being a Good Samaritan. We also talked about how we can be safe on the internet by being good digital citizens. Please enjoy our blog post about making the world a better place.
